Is PDF.Capital really free?

Yes. Every one of our 26 tools is free forever. We plan to add a Premium tier for power users with large-file needs, but the current tools stay free.

Are my files safe?

Yes. Most tools run 100% in your browser — your files never touch our servers. For heavier conversions that require server processing, files are deleted within one hour.

Do you have file size limits?

Free users can process files up to 25 MB per file, 50 pages per PDF. Premium (coming soon) removes these limits.

Do I need to sign up?

No. You only need an account if you want to save preferences or become a Premium user.

Which browsers work?

Any modern browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, Brave, Opera. iOS and Android supported.

Do you keep copies of my files?

No. Browser-based tools never upload anything, so there is nothing for us to keep. The few tools that need a server delete the input and the output within one hour, automatically, whether or not you download the result. We do not keep backups of user files and we never use uploaded documents for training, analytics or any other purpose.

Why do some tools disappear from the list?

We only publish tools that actually work end to end. If a tool cannot produce a result we would be happy to use ourselves, we disable it rather than leaving a broken page online. That is why the tool count sometimes changes between visits.

Can I use PDF.Capital for confidential or regulated documents?

The browser-based tools are a good fit for confidential material because the file never leaves your device. You remain the data controller for anything you process. If your organisation has a formal policy for document handling, check it before using any online service, including this one.

Why do you show ads?

Ads pay for hosting, domains and development time, which is what keeps the tools free and account-free. We use Google AdSense, we label ad areas clearly, and we ask for consent before advertising cookies are set. See the Cookie Policy for the full list of cookies and how to withdraw consent.

How can I report a bug or request a tool?

Use the contact page. Bug reports that include the browser, the file size and what you expected to happen get fixed fastest. Tool requests are prioritised by how many people ask for the same thing.

Do you offer an API?

Not yet. Because the processing happens in your browser rather than on our servers, an API would be a separate product rather than an exposed endpoint. If you need one, tell us what you would use it for.
